Next Generation WordPress Hosting
We’re on a mission to bring affordable high end WordPress hosting to the masses. It’s a win/win for everyone - our bespoke platform reduces our costs to host you, and in turn you get industry leading WordPress hosting for less!
Full page caching which is custom configured for your WP Install, we cache 98% of pages in memory which provides the fastest possible page load, delivering the first byte in under 40ms in most cases. The end result is a perceieved instant page load for your visitor, with no loading lag or delay when browsing.
Want to know how it works? WordPress can be slow, so when a page is visited, it can take some time for the server’s CPU to process all of the code for the plugins and theme. This causes a noticeable delay in the page loading and uses a lot of CPU power.
In our platform, when your page is visited for the first time, we’ll deliver it to the user and store a snapshot of that page in our platform’s cache. When a new visitor comes along, we’ll serve that page out of the cache within milliseconds.
For user specific pages such as shopping carts and checkouts it automatically ignores the cache.
When we deploy your installation we check the performance and custom configure the cache to ensure optimal performance for your site’s requirements.
Overseen by your account manager, we’ll migrate your WordPress installation to our platform quickly and effortlessly. We can schedule the migration at a time to suit you and can offer same business day migrations if you’re in a rush.
Migrations are performed by our experienced engineers and each migration is handled manually to ensure it goes smoothly. Your account manager will keep you updated with the progress, and liaise with when needed.
If you prefer, we can do a test migration and get your website setup on our platform so you can test it first, before we make the live switch.
Migration is completely free for any number of WordPress installations.
All of our Managed WordPress plans include a dedicated technical account manager. Not only will they oversee the deployment of your WP installation, but they will regularly monitor it for performance and apply tweaks where needed.
Having a dedicated account manager ensures you get the best quality of support possible. Over time your account manager will become familiar with your WordPress installations and be able to provide bespoke advice specifically for your website’s requirements.
All of our account managers are WordPress experts, and have direct access to our platform engineers to help continually improve our service.
Each WordPress installation includes a staging and development environment. This is ideal for testing changes, or developing your site on the server without affecting the live site that your visitors see.
You can clone your WordPress installation with a couple of clicks to a new environment and make changes as needed. Once you’re happy you can then ‘promote’ the environment to live. This happens seamlessly for your users with no downtime.
(One click environment cloning is coming in H2 2021, until then our technical staff will create staging environments on request).
Our platform has been designed from the ground up to include the very best possible levels of security, this includes generic infrastructure hardening such as firewalling, intrusion detection and industry standard best practises. As well as specific threat mitigation for WordPress including common plugin and theme attacks, brute force deflection and more.
All installations include free SSL as standard from Lets Encrypt, so you can be sure your website has end to end encryption. Additionally we encrypt all data at rest in our database servers.
Our network is state-of-the-art, 40Gb/sec multi homed to the UK’s internet backbone, and this includes several terrabits of DDos protection. Our systems constantly monitor the flow of traffic through our network edge - if an attack is detected, traffic is automatically diverted through off-network scrubbers which clean the traffic and only allow legitimate traffic through.
For reliability, every piece of hardware is n+1 redundant, including power delivery and SSD storage. Servers themselves are also fully redundant, allowing us to move your WP installation to another server within miliseconds, this is why we can offer a 99.9% uptime guarantee.
Managed WordPress packages include a global CDN. You can connect your WordPress content to our CDN with a few clicks, with 7 points of presence around the world covering all continents we can cache and deliver your content to your visitors in a fraction of a second.
What’s more, delivering content from a CDN reduces the burden on your WordPress server, allowing it to handle even more traffic.
The system will backup your WordPress installation, including the code, the content and the database on a daily basis. We take file level backups meaning you can restore specific files, folders or databases with a few clicks.
Restore points are kept on 7 daily and 4 weekly basis, meaning you have plenty of history should you need it.
Not only does the backup system let us restore your site in minutes in the case of a critical failure, it also protects against user error; just realised you deleted a file 2 months ago you now need? No problem, restore it in seconds.
The backups are kept off-site in a geographically diverse location. The backups are fully secured to the same standard as the rest of our infrastructure.
