Verifying Your Account for Google Apps

To use Google Apps, you need to verify your domain ownership with them. In order to do this, you need to create a CNAME record using the authentication token provided by Google.

Log into your cPanel. If you are unsure on how to do this, please view the following help article - 'How to log into cPanel'.

Under the 'Domains' title, click onto 'Simple DNS Zone Editor'.

Select your domain from the 'Domain:' list.

Under the 'Add an CNAME Record' heading, enter the authentication code provided by Google in the 'Name:' box.

Enter '' (or what you've been instructed to in Google Apps) in the 'CNAME:' box.

Click 'Add CNAME Record' button to complete.

You can now back into your Google Apps account and follow the prompt to 'Verify domain ownership'.

Choose 'Change your CNAME record' from the 'Verify your domain ownership' option.

Double check the information that you set as the CNAME record is correct and complete by pressing 'Verify'.
