Social media can be a crucial element in content marketing success today. After all, once you’ve produced an incredible piece of content, you want to make sure that it gets as many shares as possible. Unfortunately, simply blasting your content across various social media channels might not be enough for you to get access to more high-quality leads.

The truth is that you need to do more than simply share your content if you want it to tap into the power of social media. Your content also needs to be socially attractive and shareable to give your brand the right results. The more socially attractive your content becomes, the more likely you are to become the viral sensation your industry needs.

1. Make Sure Content Looks Good on Social Media

One of the first things you’ll need to do to make your content socially attractive is ensure that everything you produce looks good on social channels. This will rely on a small piece of meta code included in the

section of your HTML page. This section of code offers instructions to social media networks and tells them which images, descriptions, and titles to use when a post goes live.

You can make sure that your post always looks great by using free plugins like Yoast for SEO which helps you to determine what each of your link previews should include from data that’s gathered in the post itself.

2. Remember that Emotional Posts are More Shareable

Another way to make your content as socially attractive as possible is to fill it full of emotional features – particularly in the intro and headline. Headlines that are packed full of emotion create articles that are more likely to be shared within social networks. The good news is that there are countless ways that you can make your headlines more emotional.

One good place to get started is to think about the preferences and pain points that your customers have. The more you know about the elements that prompt your customers into action, the more likely you are to create a socially shareable piece.

3. Make Your Content Shareable

Socially attractive content is also shareable content. The easier you make it for your customers to share their thoughts and opinions about your posts on social media, the more likely it is that your recent blog post will turn into a viral sensation.
One good tip to enhance your chances of shareability is to make sure that you think about how you place the social sharing buttons on your website. Some experts suggest that placing social buttons on the top left-hand side of the page is the best way to get a boosted performance. Remember, you should always finish your blog posts with “Click to Tweet” buttons and Facebook sharing options.

4. Publish Your Content at the Right Time

Timing is everything in the social media and content marketing world. That means that you’ll need to think carefully about when the best time to publish a blog post might be. For instance, most blog posts are read in the morning, though men are more likely to read in the evenings. Additionally, Mondays are generally the best day of the week for publishing content.

Saturday and early-morning visitors to your blog and social media pages are more likely to leave comments, and most blog posts get the highest amount of traffic at around 11 am. If you keep these statistics in mind, then you should be able to time your content for the best results.

5. Make your Posts as Engaging as Possible

Finally, when it comes to creating socially attractive content, remember that each network on the internet today comes with a unique set of features and elements that are designed to help you make your content stand out and get more online attention. If you can take advantage of these factors, you can make your posts as socially friendly as possible.

For instance, one excellent way to make sure that your posts look great on social media is to use image posts. Even if you’re just sharing a link on Facebook, an image preview can make your post instantly more appealing. You can also include images with your tweets to make it more likely that people will be willing to read whatever you have to say.

Ultimately, today’s audiences are generally more interested in “visual” content, than written content. That means that if you can include videos and pictures in your content, you should get better results.
